Safe Work Near Power Lines (Initial)
This course covers compliance with working safely up to the defined safe approach distance, as outlined in the Safework NSW Code of Practice 2006: Work Near Overhead Power Lines, for non-electrical workers.
Participants will complete theory and practical activities, working indoors and outdoors.
Successful completion of this training will result in the attainment of the nationally accredited unit of competency: UETTDREL14 – Working safely near live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker.
For first time participants, the two day initial course will need to be completed.
One day refresher training is required yearly to maintain competency.

Public courses are held regularly at our Thornton training centre, centrally located near Newcastle, Maitland, Central Coast and the Hunter.
Students must arrive at 8:00am sharp to complete the pre-course administration. Training will commence at 8:30am. Please read your course confirmation for further information about what you should bring with you on the day.
